High School Enrichment

ENRICHMENT PROGRAM/ DUAL ENROLLMENT

The High School Enrichment Program (HSE) provides high school students in 11th and 12 grade the opportunity for advanced scholastic college level coursework. Eligible students can enroll in college courses and receive college credit.

Dual Enrollment consists of college classes offered at SHS or SWHS through a community college. Students participating in this program will have to complete a Community College application for enrollment. Participating in this program will ease the transition from high school to college and encourage students to continue to pursue postsecondary education. Upon completion of the course, the student will have coursework on a community college transcript with the grade and units for the Dual Enrollment course. Several of our pathways and some ROP courses offer Dual Enrollment. Students must be part of the pathway or enrolled in the  ROP course to take advantage of Dual Enrollment. The exception to this is the Math Analysis I/II (MATH 5A/5B) course.

Dual Enrollment benefits to students:

  • No student fees for the course and the eventual credits
  • Student has the opportunity to earn college credit while remaining on Sanger High campus.
  • Immediate transferable credit/grade is awarded at the end of the course
  • Student is enrolled at both SHS or SWHS and a Community College simultaneously.
