Air Quality Safety and Excessive Heat Procedures for Outdoor Activities  
Sanger Unified School District (SUSD) will provide information to schools regarding alerts of poor air quality and excessive heat from the Perry Weather Monitoring and Alerting System. An automated email or text notification is sent from Perry Weather Monitoring and Alerting System to district office administrators, principals, and athletic directors to identify unhealthy air quality and excessive heat.  
 
In the event of an Air Quality Alert (AQI 151 or above) or Excessive Heat Advisory (WBGT 92.1 or above), all district sites will postpone or cancel outdoor activities due to the weather conditions once any one of the monitoring stations reaches the designated threshold level. 
 
Please use the charts below to find the appropriate actions allowed per the Air Quality Index (AQI) and the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) readings.
