The Tom Flores Youth Foundation is pleased to offer three $3,500 scholarships for graduating seniors in the areas of Visual & Performing Arts, Athletics and Science/STEM.

The Foundation for Sanger Schools has allocated $21,500 for graduating senior for scholarships. The application period is open from January 9, 2023, to March 10, 2023. Scholarships will be considered for seniors who will be attending a junior college, a four year fully accredited college or university, or an accredited trade school.

Sanger Unified has allocated $17,000 for graduating senior scholarships. The scholarships will be considered for seniors who followed the Sanger Pledge during their enrollment in Sanger Unified. Sanger Unified will provide fourteen scholarships of $1000 to ONE student that represents and attended each elementary school during their 6th grade year; ONE $1,000 Scholarship to a student that represents and attended Washington Academic Middle School, ONE $1,000 scholarship to a senior graduating from Hallmark/Taft High Schools; and ONE $1,000 scholarship to a senior that is graduating from Kings River High School.

ASCWA's San Joaquin Section has a goal of annually providing cash awards and scholarships to the Foundation fot deserving students, who have overcome adversity and are proceeding with their future educational and/or life goals. Each of the scholarships are presented in the memory of Anthony Brucia--a young man who turned-it-around!

Since its inception, the Louis F. Ruiz Scholarship Program has awarded over $4,000,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors entering their first year of college. In 2017, Ruiz 4 Kids added a scholarship program specific to community college students transferring to an accredited 4 year college/university. Sponsors of the annual Louis F. Ruiz Golf Invitational provide funding for the scholarship program.

The Foundation 649 Scholarship is a grant of $4,000 over the course of 4 years that can be applied to college tuition and expenses. To maintain eligibility each year, there will be a brief check-in and renewal process at the end of each school year.

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 Mike McCann Scholarship🎓. If you were a Proteus customer within the last four years and are planning on enrolling to a four-year College or accredited post-secondary institute, you may qualify for a $500 scholarship.

Any high school senior in California who is interested in agriculture may apply, but Sanger High School students, especially those involved in sports or other affiliated extracurricular activities such as 4-H club, or rodeo competition experience are preferred.

Students participating in summer school will have the opportunity to remediate failed courses and engage in original credit courses. Select incoming high school students will have the opportunity to participate in a jump start academy to prepare them for the rigor of high school. Some students will take dual credit courses.

The Sunnyside Property Owners Association (SPOA) supports the achievement of education and offers college scholarship awards to high school seniors that are residents of the Association’s membership boundaries for their junior and senior years regardless of high school attended. The scholarships are available to entering freshmen that have demonstrated academic excellence and have actively contributed a significant amount of community service or volunteer work.

Our Visionary Scholarship is a bi-annual award. There are five (5) awards given with each bi-annual deadline – with a total of ten (10) college scholarships awarded for each school year. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 each.

3. No one can guarantee that you’ll win a scholarship
4. Legitimate scholarships require time & energy
5. Legitimate sponsors should provide contact information upon request
6. Be aware if you are called to receive an award for which you never applied
7. Don’t be pressured into applying for a scholarship, especially if the sponsor is asking you to pay
8. Beware of claims of “exclusive” scholarships
9. An official-sounding name or endorsement doesn’t automatically mean it’s legitimate
10. If your questions aren’t answered directly, proceed with caution
